Under Construction
There are many types of web pages -- the examples you're seeing here use FRAMES, which means you can section your information, and provide a static set of info to choose from (in this example, the left blue section), while changing another whole section (in this example, the right side of your web page). This can also be done in top and bottom mode, or even split into more than two sections, each moving (or staying static) independently of the others, depending on what the customer desires or needs. Headings can be included anywhere with the use of what are called "style sheets" (this means all your web pages will have the same look and feel, and be easy to navigate).
Images can be imbedded anywhere on any page, and can be made to be links to other pages or sections (a link will, when clicked on, provide a new page, either in the same window, or if desired, a new window).
Many of these styles can be tailor made to your preferences, using various HTML and JAVA options. The only consideration is that large imagery included on your web page (or clever options, such as trailing images from the cursor) will cause longer load times (if a page takes too long to load, you lose the interest of your audience). There's an unwritten rule that you shouldn't exceed 8-12 seconds of load time, or your customer will get impatient and leave!
And
of course, as you can tell, colors and backgrounds as well as FONT choices
(styles and
differing sizes)
are
important for ease-of-understanding!! This background my be fine
for mostly images, or large dark text, but it's terrible (difficult to
read) for the green text above! You always want to have backgrounds
to match the mood of your web page!
